Order & Payment

Items which you select for purchase will  be placed in your “shopping basket”. To remove an item from your shopping basket, simply click on the “remove” button next to the item as it appears in your basket.

Once the user has pressed the “checkout” he will be automatically redirected to the secure PayPal payment page and he will be asked to provide certain information to allow us to process the order. At first, prices may exclude delivery charges, which may be added to the total amount as soon as the user provides us the shipping address. The user will receive as well an order summary confirmation on screen and/or by email acknowledging that we have received the order.

Please, note that, as we deal with rare and out of print books your item may no longer be available by the time your order has been placed due to previous sales or orders. In that case, do not hesitate to contact us in order to write you back as soon as another copy of the item required will be available again through the website.   

Books awaiting payment will be held for three days. As soon as the payment in full for each order placed is received, we aim to ship your item to the indicated address.

ZarbiBooks reserves the right to refuse to fulfill orders when the credit card information might be suspected to be fraudulent or if credit card information can not be substantiated by our credit card processing company. 

All elements of the transaction are managed and protected by PayPal.

Taxes

In the context of this “auto-entreprise”, ZarbiBooks does not have to deal with taxes. As a consequence of this fact, prices will be given with all taxes included and each invoice will mention in French : "TVA non applicable, art. 293 B du CGI."

Personal Data

ZarbiBooks collects information submitted by users through our website, including addresses and contact details submitted during ordering, as well as email addresses from individuals joining our mailing list. Having said that, ZarbiBooks undertake not to divulge to third parties any information concerning customers for marketing or other promotional purposes that would be in breach of the European Parliament and Council Directive 95/46/EC of 24 October 1995 on the protection of personal data.

According to the "Informatique et Libertés" law of the 6th January 1978, modified in 2004, the internet website ZarbiBooks has done a “déclaration simplifiée” n°1896043 with the CNIL.

In France, personal data are protected by the law No. 78-87 of the 6th January 1978, the law No. 2004-801 of the 6th August 2004, the article L. 226-13 of the Penal Code and the European Directive of the 24th October 1995.

In conformity with the clauses of the 38th article and those following the law 78-17 of the 6th January 1978 regarding informatics, files and freedoms, all users have the right of access, correction, cancellation or opposition to this personal data

ZarbiBooks can hold hypertext links towards another sites. However, the responsible in publishing does not have the chance to verify the content of the visited sites and he will not assume any responsability derived from the occasional issues that might happen when using this links.

Browsing through ZarbiBooks may involve the installation of cookie(s) within the user’s computer. A cookie is a small file that doesn’t allow the user identification. Instead of that, it records some information related to the computer’s navigation through the site. This helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our website and also allows us to improve our site.

Practical law & Awarding jurisdiction 

Every possible dispute related to the usage of the website ZarbiBooks would be submitted to the French law. Having said that, the jurisdiction will belong exclusively to the competent court in Paris.

Limitation of Responsibility

In ZarbiBooks we pay special attention to the security linked to our website. However, we can not guarantee the wholeness and the lack of modifications made by third parties like, for instance, a virus attack.
The regular maintenance operations of our internal informatics systems or other external factors such as a saturated network may modify the efficacy level of the site, as well as the regular services offered.
ZarbiBooks holds back the right to cancel, modify or stop the access to a part or the whole internet site of ZarbiBooks without notice (content,functionality, availability hours…).
